IBF Foundation will launch its “Let's Play 3!” grant scheme in January, the third phase of its programme to promote blind football and accelerate the independence of visually impaired people by donating competition equipment.
Since last year, IBF Foundation have twice worked on the Let's Play programme, donating balls and eye masks to a total of 41 organisations around the world. We have also had some positive reports from the organisations that have received the equipment. IBF Foundation believe that there are still many groups around the world who would like to start competing but do not have the equipment they need.
IBF Foundation will donate balls, non-official eyemasks and IBSA-approved eyemasks to organizations whose proposals are accepted, at no cost of buying and shipping to them. Projects focusing on youth development (male and female, under 23) and women’s blind football are particularly welcome.
Through playing, visually impaired people can also connect with their peers and experience personal growth. This means that the possibilities for the visually impaired are expanding. We are convinced this leads to the realization of our organization's vision.
The following types of organisations are eligible to participate in this call for project proposals:
• Blind football teams/clubs
• Schools for blind people
• Organizations of and for visually impaired people
• National Blind Sports Federations (NFs)
• National Paralympic Committees (NPCs)
• National Football Associations
• Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
The call for project proposals is open from January 5th, 2022 until January 31st at 9am (JST). During this period the IBF Foundation team will be available to answer questions related to the grant and your application.
Please be aware that if your organization was one of the beneficiaries of the “Let´s Play! Grant Programme” and/or of the “Let´s Play 2! Grant Programme”, your project will not have priority if you apply for the same type of equipment.
