World Sight Day

October 8th is World Sight Day 2020! World Sight Day, observed annually on the second Thursday of October, is a global event to draw attention and raise awareness on blindness and visual impairment.

The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) coordinates special activities surrounding the day to mark the occasion, including the #HopeInSight Photo Competition. Especially, it highlights the fact that more than 75% of all blindness and moderate and severe vision impairment is avoidable.

IBF Foundation respects #worldsightday, because our vision is that IBF Foundation tackles the three "Disabilities" through the power of Blind Football.

Earlier this year, IBF Foundation approved 7 projects as part of our Urgent Support Grant Program during the COVID-19 epidemic. However, we believe we can do more to make our vision a reality and we have been working to increase and expand the support we give everyone working in this area.

Our new program will be released shortly! Watch this space for news coming up very soon!!!
