    Urgent Support Grant Programme under COVID-19 Epidemic Situation

    I. The IBF Foundation, “Urgent Support Grant Programme”

    In order to support the organizations which work with visually impaired and are affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, The International Blind Football Foundation (IBF Foundation) has released a grant programme under the name “Urgent Support Grant Programme”.

    “Urgent Support Grant Programme” under COVID-19 epidemic situationaims to provide organizations related to visual impairments with financial resources to solve the problems under the epidemic situation.

     

    Please be aware that all proposals will be reviewed and rated. We can only review complete project proposals that are received by the deadline and that are in line with the conditions outlined in these guidelines.

     

    II. Eligibility of organizations and project proposals

    The eligibility of organizations to participate in the call for project proposals includes:

    • National Federations (NFs)
    • Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
    • Non-Profit Organizations

    All applicants are supposed to be related to visual impairments.

     

    III. Focus Areas

    The focus area is: IT Equipment and communication tools/devices/services.

    Key factors to be reviewed are:

    1. Who the beneficiaries are,
    2. What the problem is,
    3. How to solve the problem with the equipment and the tools,
    4. What the expected result is.

     

    • IT Equipment and communication tools/devices/services:

    The aim of this focus area is to help organizations to improve and increase their organisational, communicational and productive capacity in order to provide support to visually impaired and blind people to find solutions to the difficult situations created by the coronavirus COVID-19.

    By getting the Grant, the organizations should be able to buy, purchase, acquire equipment or services which would be used for the organization activities.

     

                                             

    IV. Financial conditions and payment procedures

    The total budget allocated for each Grantee is 2,000 US Dollars.

    The funding granted will be transferred to the Grantees in two different instalments, contingent upon certain conditions:

     

    First installment:

    • Amount: 50%
    • Milestone: Contract signed
    • Conditions: Upon receipt of the signed grant agreement, IBF Foundation

      shall transfer 50 per cent of the grant to the Grantees.

    Second installment:

    • Amount: 50%
    • Milestone: Upon receipt of the project´s final reports with financial report.
    • Conditions: Reports must be submitted within 1 month after the project

      is finished.

     

    Final financial report must be submitted 1 month following the completion of the project. The previously mentioned, report must include a detailed list of the items in which the fund was spent. A copy of every bill, ticket and/or receipt must be included in the report.

    The Grant could be spent in:

    • IT equipment/supplies
    • Communication devices
    • Usage of the services

     

    V. Urgent support Grant Programme´s timeline

    The call for project proposal will be open on April 26th2020 20:00 (JST/GMT +9) until May 9th2020 12:00 (JST/GMT +9). During the call for project proposals period, IBF Foundation team will be available to answer your questions related to the submission process and required documentation.

    All applicants will be informed of the results of the application no later than May 16th2020 by email. The project must start after May 17th2020 and be finalised before October 30th2020.

     

    VI. Review and selection process

    The review of the submitted projects will be undertaken by IBF Foundation. To be considered for funding, proposals must be in line with the project proposal criteria. Project proposals with missing documentation will not be eligible and will not be reviewed. Maximum of 8 organizations could be selected.

    VII. Document Checklist

    Make sure you provide all documents below when submitting your project proposal.

    If any of the necessarydocuments are missing after the deadline, the project proposal will not be accepted.

    • List of items to purchase
    • CV of project leader and of the person producing the financial report if different
    • Outline of your organization or annual report (Optional but highly recommended)
    • Annual budget (Optional but highly recommended)
