IBF Foundation and Skylight Consulting to launch tournament support and visually impaired support programmes in India

From 4th to 11th October, the 2025 IBSA Women’s Blind Football World Championship was held in Kochi, Kerala, India. IBF Foundation welcomed Skylight Consulting Inc. as a sponsor to support this tournament.

The company was the sole foreign enterprise to sponsor the event, contributing to enhancing the tournament’s quality through financial support to the Local Organising Committee (LOC).

The “SKYLIGHT Sport” logo was displayed on the side fencing, in video broadcasts, and on social media. Mr Toshiki Habutsu, President of Skylight remained on site from the middle of the tournament until the final day and attended the awards ceremony following the final.

Furthermore, on 12 October, following the conclusion of the tournament, and with the cooperation of the Indian Blind Football Federation and its parent organization, Society for the rehabilitation of the Visually Challenged, Skylight and IBF Foundation held a business workshop for local visually impaired individuals entitled ‘Turning Challenges into Questions: A Business Workshop for Visually Impaired People’ as part of the VISI-ONE Innovation Hub, an initiative launched by founding companies including Skylight and IBF Foundation.

Nine visually impaired individuals from within Kerala participated in lectures and workshops on defining challenges and analysing root causes, thereby developing the ability to re-examine social issues from their own perspective. Participants commented: ‘Implementing such programmes enables us to gain new ideas and perspectives that can improve the quality of life for visually impaired people. We sincerely hope that opportunities like this will be increased.’

This programme aims to cultivate a way of thinking that enables individuals with visual impairments to proactively tackle social issues, with future expansion into other countries also envisaged.
